JAPANESE GREEN TEA-genmaicha
Genmaicha is a blend of roasted brown rice with a base of sencha or bancha tea with larger tea leaves.
Aromatic brown rice flavour with a refreshing taste.
It is mild with little astringency or bitterness, and has that gentle taste that makes you feel nostalgic.
The brownish knobs inside are roasted brown rice.
The small popcorns are made from roasted brown rice. This is to add colour and does not affect the aroma or taste.
Generally, the ratio of tea leaves to brown rice is 1:1.
Brown rice can also be enjoyed on its own.
