WANOYA GREEN TEA

unnamed-1.jpg

Japanese tea is one of the most difficult to grow without pesticides.
We know that the use of chemical fertilisers and other chemicals saves time and produces a quicker and tastier tea. However, it also attracts pests.

We use natural organic fertilisers and spend a lot of time and money to build up the resistance of our tea plants while producing delicious tea. In addition, we use a group of micro-organisms, including enzymes, which break down and absorb pesticides, making our tea safe and tasty.
We do not use any chemical pesticides on our first tea.For the second tea, they are used once or twice if necessary, as the pathogenic insects become more active.  (It is then used to protect the parent plant, but less than half as often as usual).

We test for pesticide residues every two or three years and no pesticides have been detected.

Farmers are exposed to pesticides in order to get rid of pests. The amount is much higher than the pesticide residues.
We work hard every day to produce tea without chemical pesticides or fertilisers.

It is produced in the most north-eastern part of Nishio City, Aichi Prefecture. The tea plantations are spread over hilly terrain.
